TopChop Lite is a low-sugar chopped fibre feed made from British alfalfa and oat straw, with added mint and a light coating of cold-pressed linseed oil to reduce dust and help retain protein. It contains no added molasses or sugar coatings.
Nutritionally comparable to average hay but with lower sugar levels, TopChop Lite is ideal for good doers and suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis. Its texture and composition make it versatile to feed, whether alongside forage or as a partial or full hay replacement where required.
Developed and tested at the TopSpec Equine Research Centre, TopChop Lite is approved for horses with good dentition. When fed alongside AntiLam, it forms a balanced, forage-based diet for laminitis prone horses and ponies, while those needing additional condition are better suited to TopChop Alfalfa.
