Healthy Tummy is a nutritionally balanced, pure alfalfa feed combining chopped and pelleted alfalfa with a light rapeseed oil coating to deliver 11.5 MJ/kg of digestible energy from fibre and oil. Naturally rich in highly digestible fibres it contains no added sugar and is low in starch at just 2%, providing controlled energy while supporting digestible health. Approved by BETA for horses and ponies prone to Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome, it is specially formulated to promote a healthy gastric environment.
Alfalfa is widely recognised for its natural buffering properties, and the chop format encourages longer chew time compared to typical ‘ulcer’ mixes or cubes, helping stimulate saliva production, the horse’s natural defence against acidity. A comprehensive ‘biotics’ package of pre-, pro- and post biotics delivers true stomach care, while a high specification vitamin and mineral premix ensures a fully balanced diet. Chelated forms of selenium, copper and zinc and included for enhanced bioavailability.
